The roots of the famous Kwaku Festival lie in the abolition of slavery in Suriname and Dutch Antilles in 1863. Nowadays it brings people together celebrating this with food, drinks, dance and sport. In four weekends it attracts over 300.000 visitors. No better way to commemorate this multicultural event.
